Isley Simone Reust is a German-American filmmaker, photographer, and musician based in the Westfjords of Iceland. With a passion for storytelling that spans continents and disciplines, Isley is known for her ability to craft visually stunning and emotionally resonant narratives.

Her work as a filmmaker explores themes of identity, environmental conservation, and cultural resilience. In 2025, she will debut two feature films—one documenting the challenges of overfishing in West Point, Liberia, and another highlighting the rugged beauty and traditions of East Greenland.

As a musician and film composer, Isley co-founded the cinematic pop/rock band Spectacular Spectacular, celebrated for their haunting melodies and evocative soundscapes. Her compositions have been featured in Emmy-nominated projects and films, showcasing her talent for blending music with powerful visual storytelling. Beyond music and film, her photography captures the stark beauty of remote landscapes in the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as the vibrant cultures she encounters in her travels.

In addition to her creative pursuits, Isley runs The Wild Arctic, a tourism company specializing in tours in the Arctic and photography workshops. Through these experiences, she shares her passion for exploration and helps others capture the breathtaking beauty of remote polar landscapes.

Isley’s work has been featured in major publications like Condé Nast Traveler, Lonely Planet, and NatGeo, and she continues to use her art to inspire awareness and change.
